Once upon a ... sketch

I played along again with the sketch over at Once Upon a ... sketch.  This time, the criteria included journaling about the photo/s.

I chose to document the fun procedure of acutally capturing these type of group photos.  We try to get one every time all the family is together - they will be precious memories in years to come :-)

All together:
A sweet Lil Red Rocket owl button :-)
and ...
the journaling ... staggered all over the page ...

Thanks for visiting!
Have a great weekend :-)

Stuck?! Sketches #2

The sketch:

My page ...
Little beach girl.
Using more Echo Park Little Girl :-) ... wonder when I'll get tired of this range?!?!?!  LOL

The big butterfly is from the lovely Leanne (thanks so much Leanne :-) )

I decided to layer up my Pretty Paper Petals flowers in my cluster.  The orange satin twist flower, another flower from my stash, and then a blue Polymer flower on top :-) Perfect!!!  Why use one PPP flower when you can use two :-)

See the little pink cabochon ... tucked under the orange flower ...
and this purple one on the clouds ...
these are super sweet :-) and they are from one of my fav esty stores Clouds and More

Xmas morn

I used lots of sketches for inspiration this month.  It's just been that sort of month!!  A sketchy sort of month.  LOL

This one is from Scrapbooking From Scratch:

Another page where I splashed some paint around!  What's going on?!?!  LOL.  And yep - still scrapping Christmas photos :-)

In this close up here, you'll see I've used a Pretty Paper Petals story book flower, squished it flat, and layered another fabric flower from my stash on top.

Nearly the end of another month - where does the time go ...
Hope you are having a great week :-)

It's a new word ...

A new word is up at Bird is the Word ...
Begin/ Beginning

Nadia once again provided a super sweet sketch - this time a card sketch ... which I followed to create this card:

Inside it reads: "... in a happy way"

Love that little doily ... it's a Lil Red Rocket one ;-)

Head on over to the blog to see the sketch (which you don't have to follow - it's there for inspiration if you want/need it!!) and don't forget to check out the other DT's fabulous creations :-)

Scraptivations Challenge #3

Hello and welcome to my take on the third challenge from Scraptivations :-) This time it is a sketch with a twist ... the page must be about YOU.

So, here's the sketch:

I don't do pages just about me very often (like, never) ... it's not even very often I get pics of just myself!  So, anyway, I printed off these three pics and then decided to squish up the photos :-).

I am:

That sweet little red cabochon is from here (thanks Leanne :-) :-) :-) )
So, there we go, a page about me, although, not a deep and meaningful one or anything LOL.  I've just said how rare it is to get photos of just me - I'm normally the one behind the camera.

Head on over to Scraptivations to see all the challenge details and the other DT's samples :-).

Hope your week is going well!!  :-)

Hugs and kisses

There is an inspirational pic this month for the Scrap the Girls challenge:

I noticed the birds in the pic - and what do you know ... in my DT pack from Pretty Paper Petals, I received a little polymer bird!!  Perfect :-)

Hugs and Kisses:

The inspirational pic had an umbrella ... I didn't have an umbrella ... but I did have a mushroom!  LOL :-)  sort of looks the same, doesn't it??  LOL.

The story behind this pic - I asked Miss B what was the best thing about her big cousin.  She said "Heidi gives me lots of hugs and kisses".  Aww... sweet :-)

Have a great week!!!

Our Son

The challenge over at Scrap the Boys this month is to take inspiration from an outfit your husband/son wears.  Which outfit to choose!!  LOL.

I decided to take inspiration from the little denim shorts my Little Mister is wearing in this pic (a LaBelle Photographic photo).  They have a row of little cars on the bottom - if you look closely, you will see them :-)

The cars are pretty much exactly like this chippy one!!!

And a Pretty Paper Petals denim rose (because the shorts are denim - makes sense right?  LOL)

I did add a red ribbon and orange twine to the flower.  You'll also notice, I'm using more of my Crate Paper Toy Box papers from Handmade by Suzanne - getting to the last bits and pieces now :-)  I really love using up every single bit!!!

Have a great weekend :-)

My first DT blog post went up on the Lil' Red Rocket blog today :-) :-) :-) so exciting to be on this fabulous team!!!

Her first Barbie:

At Christmas time, Miss B was excited to receive her very first Barbie doll.   I've used some Echo Park Little Girl papers - I mean, how much more girly can you get than Barbie dolls?!??!  LOL.  You'll notice the sweet little paper doilies down the left hand side of the page - these are in the next LRR sale (Friday April 15th 7pm EST)

How perfect is this little girl button for this page!??!!? I've layered it up to make it pop :-)

And I just love these flower print buttons too :-)

Now, don't forget the SALE and GIVEAWAY at Lil' Red Rocket :-) :-)

Seriously, who wouldn't want to win this?!?!?

Mini quiz for you :-)

What do the following layouts have in common???

If you said Lil' Red Rocket .... yep, you guessed CORRECT!!!!  :-) :-)

If you think you have seen these pages before, yep, you are correct AGAIN :-) :-) I just thought I'd share them again :-).  Sorry for the blurry image of the second layout (this page is actually from October last year, when Shell was celebrating Lil' Red Rocket's first birthday) and I've since changed the way I resize photos for my blog!

Just look at these big traffic light and stop sign buttons!!  Aren't they the cutest :-)  I loved them so much, I used TWO on one layout LOL

(And another super LRR original - spotty button :-) )

LOVE these bottle tops too ... and judging by the sneaks ... these are available in the next SALE!!!!  YAY!!!

I just love Shell's gorgeous originality ....

Look at these!!!  Won't they just be fabulous on any creation :-)

Mark you diary ;-) ;-)

Oh, and check out the giveaway too .... cos you could win THIS:

To be in with a chance to win this fun prize you will need to blog about it or share it on Face book. Do both and you' ll get 2 entries into the draw!!!!
Just copy and paste this picture and a link back to the LRR blog then come back and let Shell know whether you have blogged, facebooked or both (leave your comment on the LRR blog).
I'd really love it if you'd become a follower of the LRR blog too.
Shell will be announcing the winner on the next sale night.
Friday April 15th 7pm EST.
Good luck guys xx.

More Toy Box

I've been playing with more of my Crate Paper Toy Box range from HBS.  I really felt like I've needed sketches to kick start my creativity this month.  Do you feel like this sometimes??  For this page, I've based it around the first Stuck?! Sketch for April:

And my page ...

This little bike:

Just HAD to scrap the story behind this little bike :-).  The pp I've used for this page - they are all journaling blocks ... and what a perfect journaling spot for this story - don't you think??!!? :-)

Bit of a messy twine circle (actually it's May Arts burlap string - available in the store) ... and you'll see another layered chipboard piece from the Toy Box pack.

Some grosgrain ribbon ... my fav :-)

Hope your week is going well ..... nearly the weekend ... YAY :-) :-)

Scraptivations Challenge #2

This Scraptivations challenge is set by me this time :-) .... this is the inspirational pic:

And my page.  I drew inspiration from the colours, not ones I've used by themselves on a page before, but I really like how they look.  I love that the white keeps the colours crisp and fresh.  The word "you" on the floor mat stood out to me, so I used it to begin my title.

You love...

A cute little watering can I received in a RAK :-)

And a Lil' Red Rocket button!!!  Can't WAIT to get some more ... I am waiting anxiously for my DT pack :-) (ie. stalking the postie LOL)

I would love you to play along with this challnge!  You have until May 5th - and your creations don't have to be limited to layouts - you are welcome to submit cards or OTP items too :-).  Upload your take on the challenge to the linky tool on the right hand side of the Scraptivations blog :-)
