Christmas cards

Hello!  Do you make Christmas cards?  I love making cards, but they have to be simple and quick and preferably use scraps on my desk!

A 6x6 paper pad is PERFECT for cards.  I have the gorgeous Heidi Swapp Believe paper pad and whipped up these cards super quickly teaming the paper with the matching ephemera - easy!

I embossed each card before I started to give just a hint of background texture.

I just love the little bows from the ephemera pack!

I must admit, I'm a bit of a fan of non-traditional Christmas colours!  Black and yellow?  Why not?!  Blue and red?  Of course!

 I love the cute frames the add just the right amount of gold!

Leanne's original page:

{see page details and close-ups HERE}

here's my creation inspired by Leanne's page:

It's nowhere near a direct lift, but I have detail coming down the page and a photo with a cluster in the top right corner ... plus some doodling and random misting!

I have used a pretty CLOUD VELLUM BOW from our last sale ... (all sold out now!  More bow colours and designs coming for next sale!!)

Rainbow Splendour Scraplift November!!

Hi everyone!  I'm sharing my first scraplift post for SCRAPLIFT NOVEMBER over at Rainbow Splendour.

I just loved this layout of Rikki's ... she is the fussy cutting queen!  I rarely {if ever} fussy cut, so I used other embellies instead ...

Here is Rikki's original page:

{see her page details and close-ups HERE}

And here is my lifted version:

I loved the idea of the patterned paper (I don't do this very often), and love the placement of the doilies ...

I have used a new wood veneer word from the Word Pack:

Just LOVE these!!  I have more wood veneer designs coming soon!!! :) :)

Always happy ...

Hello again!  I'm here to share my creation for the October Mood Board at Scrappingclearly :)

I just love these colours together - orange and pink in particular are one of my fav colour combos :)

Here is my page:

I had a bit of fun painting mist onto the background - I actually made a spiral of sorts, but then covered most of it up!

I have used a lot of the Simple Stories Summer Vibes range - lots of oranges and reds in this range!

Beachy Smile

Hello everyone!  I was so excited to receive the super cool Simple Stories Summer Vibes range in my DT kit.  We have recently been to the beach so this range was just PERFECT for our holiday photos!  I must admit, I didn't take as many photos as I thought I would .. too busy soaking up the sun, sand and surf!  However, there are still plenty of memories I want to record just the same :)

I misted over a stencil to get the sunburst/water droplets look on the background.

The layout felt like it need some large arrow shapes, so I cut some Chipboard Frames in half ... instant arrows!  Love the effect!

I just love the summery/beachy colours and the wood grain paper is my fav ...
