Stuck?!

Stuck for something to do this weekend?? Try this sketch from Stuck?!Sketches :-). It's the January 15th one.
I have been wanting to do this sketch right from the start, but it just wouldn't work for me. Oh the frustration!!! THEN ... I had this light bulb moment and turned the sketch on the side and came up with this:

It just seemed to fall into place :-). (Doesn't my little boy look cute!!)

So ... you still have time to do both January sketches if you are in a scrappy mood this weekend!! Look out for February on Stuck - I begin my CT stint!!!

Sorry I haven't had much to share this month. Mostly everything I have been working on has been DT/CT related but the good news is, I will share them all eventually :-).

Holiday Scraps

Here is "Caterpillar Ride" - pic of Bethany playing with the pool toys - even when they weren't in the pool :-)
It's another LO from the Savvy Holiday Scraps CC - and my last one too, as I didn't get more photos printed in time. It's for Sara's colour challenge:

Not colours I am used to so it was a real challenge for me .... LOL :-). Not overly happy with it, but you get that!!

LOL - I wish it really WAS holiday time - but, no, it's just the name of this LO:

Savvy have their CC on this weekend and it's a good one!!! I've done a couple of pages already and hope to do some more if I can get photos printed in time!

Anyway, this is for the blind scrap - where you get a list of materials and then written instructions on how to put the page together. I have never done one before as I thought I would struggle a bit and .... I was right! To begin with, I didn't have all the materials so I had to improvise. Then, the title just wouldn't go where it was meant to, so I moved it. Oh well, it turned out not too bad.

Latest projects

Now, I have been busy of late, with a few projects on the go. Here's some I can share. Firstly, I gave the January 1st sketch from Stuck?!Sketches a go ...... this is the sketch:

Just love those cute pics of Bethany and her little cousin - they just get along so well when we see each other and wish we could catch up more often :-) {thanks to Riley's mummy for permission to use the pics :-)} I used a few bits from my awesome RAK - the alphas are just fantastic!!

The following pic is another project I am working on. I saw this on Renee's blog (thanks Renee for the idea!!) and followed THIS LINK to find out more. Anyway, these pages are for the Southern Cross Kids Camp which is a camp for At Risk/Neglected children. At the end of their stay, they are given a memory book using donated layouts as the base - (often the only childhood photo's they will have). I thought it was a fantastic idea and every little bit helps! They are quick and easy, only 6"x6" pages, with no embellishment as they get embellies added later with the pics.


Planning to do heaps more and use up bits and pieces of pp's I have. That's it for now, we had a busy morning out today so think it's time for a cuppa and relax :-) :-). Have a great week everyone!

I was so very lucky to receive this stunning RAK from my SIL and fellow scrapper!!! What a surprise it was!!
So, thank you SO MUCH Melinda, it made my day :-). I've already had a play with one of the gorgeous butterflies and made a quick card using a sketch from Sketches for All

January challenge

My card challenge for January over at Scraps Of Us is a colour challenge: BLACK, WHITE and ONE other colour. I chose blue for my other colour and stamped butterflies in baby blue ink. (Just love that butterfly stamp!!)
The photos are terrible sorry - the colour looks washed out due to photographing in overcast weather. Here's a close up to give you a bit more of an idea:
