I think this is the only challenge I've had time to play along with this month!
It's been a crazy month that's for sure!

O Christmas Tree

It seems I’m suffering from a mild dose of low mojo, so I pulled out the FWAB January sketch again and BAM … instantly inspired!  Just love it when that happens!

I even had some recent photos from Christmas to scrap!

I love using non-traditional Christmas colours!  Pink, purple and teal - so pretty :)

The robot cake

Recently (ha, I'm talking LAST YEAR now!), my little boy turned FIVE.  He had a robot themed birthday with, of course, a robot cake!

Then, I've been looking at the CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration  challenges and have been wanting to push myself one day and try one!  They look a little intimidating to begin with, but then I spied this one and it was perfect!  It had a robot!!!

So, the aim is to include at least TWO things from the EVIDENCE column and at least ONE from the TESTIMONY column ... along with all of the colours (as little or as much of each as you like)

So ... here's my page:

I have stripes, swiss dots, flourish, decorative border, a robot and something fuzzy (felt)
I have "wrapped" my journaling around the photo (yep, had to think outside the box for that one!)

Just love being able to use these little robots!  They are from the cupcake toppers from his party :)

Hmmm ... I think I might try another challenge over at CSI very soon ;)

January at SUYS

FWAB January challenge

Yes, we are up to January already!  This month at Flourish With a Bling, we decided to kick off with a sketch to inspire you this month …

FWAB JANUARY RULES:
1. Follow the sketch (turn it, make it your own, but we would still love to see the bones of the sketch!)
2. Use AT LEAST one piece of FWAB
3.  Upload your creation (can be a page, a card, or OTP item) by midnight 31st January 2015 to the FWAB gallery
4. Have fun!!

 I have used a FWAB Maddison flower in Yellow, a small FWAB Maddison flower in teal, a FWAB Elise flower in cream, and a FWAB Kate’s Corner Flourish Silver - all cut up to fit around my cluster.

My favs of 2014

Hello everyone!  I love doing my favourites post every year ... it's interesting to reflect on what is obviously my fav go-to products/techniques have been!

So, in no particular order here they are ..

So, in summary ...
... I think I have FINALLY stopped cutting every piece of paper into pennant shapes (LOL)
... I'm loving misting and even dipping my crafty toes into some mild mixed media!
... I've broken out the stamps again this year (!!!)
... I'm loving sequins and washi
... Still love my handmade embellies
... and I'm still a fan of COLOUR!

I wonder what this year will bring?
