Butterfly album

Just a short post this time with some pics of Bethany's 2nd birthday butterfly album. Her birthday last year was 'butterfly' themed so when I saw this butterfly album I knew it was perfect for her birthday pics! I didn't quite know what to do with it for some time though! LOL! Anyway, to make a long story short (I did say this was going to be a short post LOL!), I used some of the Kaiser flutterby collection and was really happy with the papers and the journal spots were great for the journalling. Once I started, it all fell together.... well, sort of...

Here is one of the inside pages:

And the front:
Am looking forward to doing another birthday album for Bethany now, since her birthday has just gone again this month. My big girl is three!!! She said to me this morning that she would like another birthday today please. Not too fast my little girl!! You are growing up quick enough as it is!

Anyway, must keep going...

Just a card...

Happy Tuesday to everyone. Can't believe I missed posting yesterday - a week since this blog was born LOL!!! Happy 1 week birthday to my little creative corner :-). It's been fun anyway, and I can't believe I have 2 followers and 2 comments already! Thanks heaps girls, you made my day!! LOL!

Well, I have been a busy little beaver yesterday with appointments, a quick catch up with the playgroup mums, shopping for my husband's birthday pressie and going for Dallas' weekly weigh. He's put on 470g in the last week!!!!! Can't say I'm surprised... with the amount of times I feed during the day and night! He'll be a little chubba bubba before too long :-D!!

Since I don't like to make a post without a pic, I thought I would share this little card here. It was for last months challenge over at Inkurable Stampers - the theme was music. The challenges for this site require stamping (at least one stamp) on any type of creation - and incorporating the monthly theme of course. It's lots of fun! Have done a few challenges so far. I don't use stamps a whole lot, so that's been a challenge in itself for me. Mind you, since I got the Kaiser flourish stamps, I have been a lot more keen - just LOVE them!!!!!

I was in 'baby mode' (I wonder why??) so made the card a baby card. LOL!!! :-D

Should really keep going. Have to make a few cards for birthdays coming up ... and still working on those thank you's! OK, enough .... I'm off to create :-)

Birthday pages

Yay, it's the weekend! Not that much is happening here. Was woken up early by my little darlings (LOL) and decided there was no point going back to bed. So, I sat down and completed a stack of Dallas' thank you's... might even get them all done today if I'm lucky!

I have a couple of pages to share today. They are of pics taken at Bethany's birthday last year! Have only scrapped them recently tho (well, before Dallas was born). Took me a while to do her birthday page, just wanted it to be perfect and was too scared to start! Anyway, this is what I came up with and luckily, I was happy with it :-).

These pics are of Bethany and Daddy with a pressie - a little puppy that flips over. Bethany wasn't too sure of it! :D
Hope everyone is having a great weekend :-)

Off the page

Just thought I would share these couple of off the page projects I have done recently. The first is a handbag album I did as a thank you gift for a friend. Inside I used pics of her family along with family quotes etc.

These frames I made for Mum:

I have quite a few projects lined up, just have to find the time to do them (don't worry, I'll find it somewhere LOL!) and I'll post them here to share.

It's Friday!

Nearly the end of another week! How time flies when you are having fun. LOL! Life is certainly interesting with 2 little people who more often than not, need Mummy's attention at the same time. Have been glad of my Mum's help during my recovery and I know she loved having time with us too :-).

I have a couple of pages to share today, and maybe I will post some more later as well. The first page is for the Savvy cybercrop. Only managed a couple of challenges this time, I don't seem to have as much 'spare time' as say... 6 weeks ago! LOL!!! :D

The challenge for this one was .... spring colours, the word 'spring' in the title, and flowers of course!! This is my take: 'It smells like spring'. (the photo was taken by Linley Gordon during Dallas' 2 week photo shoot)

This one is for this month's sketch challenge at Savvy:

The pics were taken on Bethany's birthday....having a birthday treat in the park (a lemonade iceblock).

I really need to keep going on Dallas' thank you's so maybe I should hold off doing pages for a while :-)!! It's quite fun scrapping things in blue now, I am enjoying it :-).

Just some more...

I have some more pages to share :-). These were for the cybercrop last month at Savvy. Managed to get them all completed before Dallas was born! I was on a roll! The challenge for the one below was to use 'non-scrappy' items.

This one was taken from a sketch:

"Explore" was a 54321 challenge:
5 patterned papers
4 photos
3 different embellishments
2 journalling spots
1 word title
In case you didn't notice.... no cardstock!!! The 5 patterned papers was a bit tricky, I don't normally use that many at once. But, it was really fun to do something different .... and think outside the square LOL!
These cards were the last challenge. The first 2 were from sketches and the third was a free choice. The theme was Father's Day. Love the effect of colour on black cards. Will do this again!

That's it for now. Maybe some more later :-)

Weird Wednesday

How weird is the sky today?!?!?! It's like the world is glowing orange! Seems like it's pretty wide spread - even down south. Have taken photos of the view from out back door - not sure it will look the same as real life tho!

Today I decided to put some pics on here of some older pages (not the real old ones tho!!! My style has changed SO much since then!). Just so the poor people who stumble upon this blog in these early days have something to look at! LOL! The two below are for challenges this month at Savvy. "When Bethany met Dallas" was for the random challenge: using 2 different masks. Was fun to do something different! The pics of B and D were taken in hospital. She just adores him :-)!!

This one ... "Baby faces" was for the scraplift challenge. Pics of Dallas when he was 5 days old. Awww... so cute! LOL!

Happy Tuesday

We have just said goodbye to Emma who had a little 'holiday' with us. Bethany loves having someone else here! While she was here, I did some scrapping (surprise surprise). This one was for Scrapbook Savvy for Lisa's cybercrop challenge:

The challenge was SPRING:
Stitching
Polka dots
Rubons
Ink
No cardstock
Grosgrain ribbon
Stitching was a 'challenge' for me as I NEVER stitch on my LO's - not enought patience LOL!! However, for this, I managed a few cross stitches on the bottom RH side - can just see them in the pic LOL!

Well, that's 3 layout's for Dallas' album now. Considering he's nearly 5 weeks old, I guess that's not TOO bad. Just wish I could whip up something stunning in half an hour :-)!

Better go and tackle some more challenges ... gotta love them!!

PS. Thanks for your help Emma :-)

Some pages

Just thought I would post some pages I have done recently. These 2 are for Scrap the Girls September competition - the theme is "All about Shoes".

My Creative Corner is born!

Thought it was about time I got myself a blog. Seems to be the 'thing' to do. It will be a way of sharing my scrapping with others too :-). Not sure what one writes in their posts, but guess I'll pick it up as I go along!
