Creating with Rainbow Splendour

Hi everyone!  I've been scrapping up a storm lately and loving it!  I've kept some of the new Rainbow Splendour products for myself this time and have created a couple of pages.

I just LOVED the colour combo is this chevron strip pack:

So much so, I had to create a page with these colours!

Can you see the pink and yellow chevron there? {This page was for a Scrapbooking Top 50 challenge}  And there's a Greatest View badge there too - just perfect for this page!!  (Oh how I LOVE everything in that store!!!)

Here's another page for a challenge over at SBT50:

Little Miss Gappy again :D :D :D.   She announced that she can whistle louder now she's missing her top 2 front teeth ;-)

I've used the white rose and the 2 leaves from this pack:

They are the pefect addition to a cluster ... and I love clusters :-)

Thanks for visiting!

Shouting from the roof tops!

I am over the moon to announce that I am super lucky enough to be offered a position on the awesome Scrapbook Savvy DT!!

Scrapbook Savvy was the very first online scrappy store I discovered and the first place I joined in challenges.  So, for me, it feels a little like 'home' :-).  I really couldn't believe my eyes when I got the email from Sar {I'm still pinching myself!!!}  Yay :-) :-).  A big congrats and welcome to Karen Grose who is new to the team too.  {See the DT announcement HERE}

So,  after all the happy dances were danced, we have jumped straight into our roles to create some challenges for our first Cyber Crop as DT members!

I created a fun bingo game.  The challenge is to choose 1 row, either horizontal or vertical and those 3 elements have to be clearly seen on your page.

To help you, I'll list the elements so there is no confusion:
A1 - buttons
A2 - a speech bubble
A3 - stripes
B1 - arrow/s
B2 - outdoor photo
B3 - flower/s
C1 - the colour green
C2 - stars
C3 - book paper

I took the "B" row (arrow, outdoor pic, flowers) and created this page:

I am just LOVING sunbursts at the moment!!  LOL  They are so much fun to create :-)

Don't forget to check out the other fun challenges from the Savvy DT girls ... check out Kerryn's colour challenge, and Karen's word challenge ... and there will be more to come!!

And ... new kits are being released and I CANNOT wait for these!!!  :-) :-).  It's all happening over at the Savvy blog and your challenge pages get loaded into the Savvy Gallery by midnight Thursday 2nd May for your chance to win some Savvy spending money.  Easy!!  I hope you'll play along!!

SUYS

Show Us Your Stuff challenge this month was to create an 8.5 x 11 page.
Since I'm still doing my 52 week album from last year (*blush*) which is in 8.5 x 11 format  ... this was a perfect challenge for me!

"Last Day" ... pic of my DD on her last day of school last year.

Love that sunburst mask!!

Here's my handmade items:
A {scrAp this} red arrow and a Rainbow Splendour owl.  Cute!

Inspired Blueprints catch up

Hello everyone!  Time to do a quick catch up with the latest sketches for Inspired Blueprints.  I just loved these!

Sketch 92:

I was inspired by the doilies!  I love doilies :-).  My photos are different sizes and shapes, but otherwise I kept pretty close to the sketch.

Sketch 90:

And my page:

I've used a big banner shape behind the photos instead of the third photo.  Love the circle shape - circles are always so easy to work with!   The pics are of my little munchkins ... suffering through a hot summer's Christmas photo shoot :D.  It was so bright, they wanted to wear their sunnies, but how perfect for an Aussie Christmas!

Thanks for visiting!!  Have a great weekend :-)

PS.  A big thank you to Fiona Johnstone and Donna White for awarding my blog the Liebster Award.  Please pop over and check out their lovely blogs and gorgeous creations!!
The Liebster Award was designed to be a blog award
in the pay it forward fashion. It is awarded to blogs
that have fewer than 200 followers to encourage new
visitors to them. Once you have been nominated you award
it to five other blogs.

The rules are: Post the award to your blog,
give the award to five bloggers who you appreciate
that have fewer than 200 followers, then leave
a comment on their blogs to let them know that
you have given them this award.
My five recipients are, in no particular order:
Aga (check out her handmade embellies!!)
Nay and Gilly (2 lovely crafty ladies!!)
Angela (she likes brights - just like me :-) )
Kate (I LOVE how she uses bling!!)
Sarah (her creations are simply amazing!!)
{please hop over to these five blogs and check them out!}

Sunbursts and flourishes

In the last Scrapbooking Memories magazine, Gail Lindner wrote an article about creating sunbursts.  She made it look so easy and fun, I thought I'd have a go.  I eliminated the stitching step (too lazy ran out of time to get the sewing machine out).  Instead, I distressed the edges to create some texture.

I played along with the March challenge at Flourish With A Bling which was to create a "Love" themed layout.

You make me happy:

Another page with a large title :-).  It's great to use some thickers for a change!

That's all for now ... Thanks for visiting :-).

PS.  Have you created a page using a tutorial lately?  Let me know, I'd love to see it :D :D
