Bee inspired

I found a new challenge site (thanks Natalie!!) It's called EstyInspired Challenge - and the store for this month's inspiration is Bee things.
I made this card:
I was inspired by the cupcake this creation:
And the colour combo in this creation:
Art inspiring art - don't you just love it?!?!?!
Have a great weekend :-)

The elements challenge at Design Dollies was quite a challenge for me this time around. I tried many different versions and eventually came up with this:
The elements were:
3 pp's
a tag
an uncoloured stamped image
red ribbons
something lime green
I am off to try their sketch challenge now :-)

Bright colours

The colour challenge over at Design Dollies this week was KRAFT + bright colours ... what could be more fun?!?!?! For my kraft, I used some cardboard because I wanted some of that yummy texture...
And made my own flowers by punching strips of paper with a border punch, folding them into a flower shape and sticking a sticker in the middle.
I added a few bits of ribbon and there you go :-)

I wanted to scrap today

So, I found this sketch:
(it's from Scrapbooking from Scratch) ... turned it on it's side, and made this LO:
Story behind the photo: Bethany sat on that little stool, crossed her legs "like a lady" and said "take a photo Mummy!" How could I refuse!!! LOL

That's it for now :-). Thanks to all who stop by here and for those who leave lovely comments - much appreciated :-)

I haven't blogged much lately, but I have been still scrapping!! Here is some sneaks...

Full layouts will be revealed next month :-)

I find purple difficult to scrap with, not sure why, it just is. So, you might ask, why did I choose to use a purple colour scheme for this LO??? Firstly, I had this scalloped cardstock in my stash and the purple spotty lilredrocket button ... and they both went perfectly with these scraps of pp.
Anyway, it's for Emma's 54321 challenge over at Savvy
5 triangle banner
4 embellishments
3 word title
2 sets of stitching
1 brad
Have a great weekend!!

It's the 15th already!!

And that means a new sketch at Stuck?! Sketches!!! So, without further ado ... here is the sketch...
And the page I created:
I must say, I had fun with that REALLY BIG TITLE. I even drew some of the letters and cut them out of patterned paper !! I don't usually do things like that - not enough patience ... LOL.

Now, just to clarify, I've named the LO 'Lil Brother' because, if you look closely, that's what is written on his little t'shirt. So cute!!

Another colour challenge! At Design Dollies this time :-)

REALLY REALLY liked this colour combo ... maybe because it has PINK in it and because I'm loving black background cards ATM???

Let's play tag!

Haven't played tag for years! Now, I've been tagged by the lovely Carly and Sarah :-)!! Thank you so much ladies!! Now, to keep the tag going, I have to list 10 things that make me happy, 5 pieces of trivia about myself and then pass this on to 5 other bloggers.

2. My lovely husband (he is probably covered under No.1 but he is SO special to me he can have 2 points)
3. Seeing my love reflected in my children's eyes
4. Scrapping my family's memories
5. Having such supportive parents
6. My stash of chocolate
7. Family holidays
8. Happy mail
9. Sleep-ins (anything past 7 o'clock)
10. My children's infectious laughter... it sure is contagious :-)

Now, 5 pieces of trivia about myself
1. My favourite chocolate is Cadbury Dairy Milk Black Forest. Yuuummmmmm
2. I don't like driving
3. I think I am allergic to ironing
4. I am left-handed
5. I love the smell of coffee but don't drink it

A Savvy colour challenge

Aren't these colours an interesting combination! They are the colours for the colour combo challenge over at Savvy this month.
This is what I created today:
I used another cute Lil' Red Rocket button ... here's a close-up :-) how cute is that little car!!!

Don't forget the CC is on @ S2P this weekend - it's an Easter theme - so it's a perfect time to scrap all those pics taken last weekend :-). Great games and prizes up for grabs!!!

Autumn cards

Lots of Autumn themed challenges around at the moment! This challenge is for a set of 3 autumn themed cards over at S2P:
Notice I used my ATC .... because I need my ATC's to be useful!! LOL. Loving the glimmermist on this one and the last one.
Should have used Glimmermist on this one too, but I forgot!

That's it from my scrapping desk for the time being. Hope everyone is having a nice week :-)

S2P April challenges

OK, are you ready for them?? Here are my challenges at Scrapping 2 Perfection for April... {the theme this month is AUTUMN}

First up ... a hand made embellishment!! Now, I don't do this very often, but this is what I whipped up :-). I made this little tree out of felt and stuck a few buttons on - super easy really.
Then, I didn't have to, but I used it on this LO for my next challenge which was a recipe challenge. Keeping the AUTUMN theme, my recipe is:
  • F - fabric/felt
  • A - acetate (transparency)
  • L - letters
  • L - leaves
Then, lastly, I created an ATC challenge, the only criteria being to keep to the AUTUMN theme...

There are more challenges up from the other DT members too!! Pop over and check them out :-)

New Stuck?! Sketch!

Check out this fantastic 1st April sketch from Stuck?! Sketches:
And my CT example:
If you look really closely you'll see stitching!!! Shock!!! No, I haven't got myself a sewing machine, I still have to beg, borrow and ...ummm.... trade to use one ;-). {thanks Mum!!!} LOL

Anyway, I had heaps of fun with this one :-)

Hope you'll join in and play along too!!! Visit Stuck?! Sketches to see the great sponsors this month!!
