Once upon a ... sketch

I played along again with the sketch over at Once Upon a ... sketch.  This time, the criteria included journaling about the photo/s.

I chose to document the fun procedure of acutally capturing these type of group photos.  We try to get one every time all the family is together - they will be precious memories in years to come :-)

The big butterfly is from the lovely Leanne (thanks so much Leanne :-) )

I decided to layer up my Pretty Paper Petals flowers in my cluster.  The orange satin twist flower, another flower from my stash, and then a blue Polymer flower on top :-) Perfect!!!  Why use one PPP flower when you can use two :-)

Xmas morn

I used lots of sketches for inspiration this month.  It's just been that sort of month!!  A sketchy sort of month.  LOL

This one is from Scrapbooking From Scratch:

Another page where I splashed some paint around!  What's going on?!?!  LOL.  And yep - still scrapping Christmas photos :-)

In this close up here, you'll see I've used a Pretty Paper Petals story book flower, squished it flat, and layered another fabric flower from my stash on top.

Scraptivations Challenge #3

Hello and welcome to my take on the third challenge from Scraptivations :-) This time it is a sketch with a twist ... the page must be about YOU.

So, here's the sketch:

I don't do pages just about me very often (like, never) ... it's not even very often I get pics of just myself!  So, anyway, I printed off these three pics and then decided to squish up the photos :-).

So, there we go, a page about me, although, not a deep and meaningful one or anything LOL.  I've just said how rare it is to get photos of just me - I'm normally the one behind the camera.

There is an inspirational pic this month for the Scrap the Girls challenge:

I noticed the birds in the pic - and what do you know ... in my DT pack from Pretty Paper Petals, I received a little polymer bird!!  Perfect :-)

The inspirational pic had an umbrella ... I didn't have an umbrella ... but I did have a mushroom!  LOL :-)  sort of looks the same, doesn't it??  LOL.

The story behind this pic - I asked Miss B what was the best thing about her big cousin.  She said "Heidi gives me lots of hugs and kisses".  Aww... sweet :-)

Our Son

The challenge over at Scrap the Boys this month is to take inspiration from an outfit your husband/son wears.  Which outfit to choose!!  LOL. 

I decided to take inspiration from the little denim shorts my Little Mister is wearing in this pic (a LaBelle Photographic photo).  They have a row of little cars on the bottom - if you look closely, you will see them :-)

The cars are pretty much exactly like this chippy one!!! 

And a Pretty Paper Petals denim rose (because the shorts are denim - makes sense right?  LOL)

I did add a red ribbon and orange twine to the flower.  You'll also notice, I'm using more of my Crate Paper Toy Box papers from Handmade by Suzanne - getting to the last bits and pieces now :-)  I really love using up every single bit!!!
