Birthday cards

Sorry for the boring title LOL.  I have some birthday cards from my HBS kit leftovers of Fancy Pants "It's Your Day" pp's.  These are all super easy and quick - the range is PERFECT for cards!!  And it's on SALE at the store!!

Happy Summer Day

Kraft It Up has a summer theme happening this month and I thought I'd play along :-).  These pics are of the little Mister 'helping' in the garden.  Luckily, so far anyway, he hasn't tried to pull out any plants.

 Had fun with some chippy this time!  Which is amazing since I normally leave it raw :-).  Mind you, I still didn't go overboard or anything!  Just some glimmermist, green ink, a touch of bling .. and some white pen :-)

It's Your Day!

Have I ever said how much I LOVE my 'job' on the DT at Handmade by Suzanne??  Apart from having an awesome scrap store, Suzanne sends the best DT kits :-) .  This month, I also got the Fancy Pants "It's Your Day" range to play with as well .. which is PERFECT as I needed to scrap the kids birthdays from last year!!  {ALSO - this range is ON SALE at HBS!!!  It's a GREAT birthday range ;-) }

I had this album for a while and thought I would use it for the little Mister's first birthday ...

 That's a Flourish With A Bling ... cut in half ... yet again!  (Told you I can't leave them alone!!)  Otherwise, it's all Fancy Pants pp's, ribbons, brads, stickers, Prima trim, Kaisercraft alphas, October Afternoon alphas ... and other bits and pieces ...

 I included his party invite and his time capsule info ...

So, there you go.  I'm pretty hopeless at OTP stuff, but I must say this range was fun and easy to work with.  Now, I still have heaps left over ... enough for a page, or at least quite a few fun birthday cards!!

Garden fun

The Scrap the Girls challenge this month is all about our favourite summer memories or moments.  Miss B has been given some seeds for our vege garden and she has had so much fun watching things grow and caring for the plants.  The corn is now higher than she is and has 'flowers'!!!  Exciting stuff ... LOL.

She loves the mini wheelbarrow :-)

White with One ...

I've probably said this before, but I find WW1 challenges a real .. well ... CHALLENGE!!  LOL.  I usually love the end result though, and this time is no exception.  So, the challenge this month was white with navy/royal blue and a banner.

Those eyes:

This photo (by LaBelle Photographics) actually show's my little boys blue eyes - the photo of the page doesn't show it sorry!  I had that navy Basic Grey doily paper for ages, and I knew I was keeping it for something special :-)

Lots of navy and white bits and pieces... 

I made a little heart banner ... I had a white scalloped circle already punched out and thought I'd chop some hearts out of it.  Fantastic idea.  THEN ... after I completed the page, I remembered I actually have a heart PUNCH that looks exactly like that.  Talk about make life difficult!  Maybe it also means I have too much stuff ... can't keep track of what I have ... hmmm ... 

So ... that's WW1 done for another month ... hope next month's comes together as easy :-) :-)

I scrap here ...

Donna has a little friendly competition running on her blog ATM ... and you have to share a pic of your scrap space ... otherwise known as creative zone :-).   Well, here you go Donna :-)

I scrap on a table in our family area ... no scrap room for me ... this is what it looks like ... when it's 'tidy' LOL.

I won't share a pic of when it's at it's messiest ... sorry ... LOL... !!  Nor will I show you the terribly unorganised storage area underneath the table!

CLIMB

I have a 17month old little boy who has discovered a love for CLIMBING.  Unfortunately, I don't share the same excitement.  Finding him standing on the dining room table makes my heart skip a few beats!  Meanwhile ... HE thinks it's funny.

So, previous to this, he began climbing up the slide - as all kids do - and we thought it was cute!!  LOL.

I have used October Afternoon Schoolhouse pp's from my HBS DT pack ... this is such a fun range!!!  The flourish is Kaisercraft ... I cut it in half ... I can never seem to stop myself cutting into flourishes.  I don't know what it is!!

Facinated

During this photoshoot, the little Mister was just facinated by the teddy bear's nose.  He kept touching it ... I think he thought he could pull it off ... and maybe eat it ... LOL.  We got many photos of him like this ...

In the schoolhouse

My DT kit from Handmade by Suzanne this month included the fantastic October Afternoon Schoolhouse range.  While I don't have school aged children ... I do have a four year old who loves writing - so I thought these pics were perfect :-) 

 Here, I used the Websters green ruffled trim and curled it around for a flower centre...

I think I will have a play with the January sketch next!  Don't forget to upload your take into the gallery for your chance to win a voucher to the store :-)

Get Picky inspiration

I squealed with delight when I saw this inspirational picture at Get Picky ... well, a little exctied squeal anyway :-)  Why?  Because I knew our Christmas photo shoot photos (by LaBelle Photographics) would be PERFECT for this challenge!!  I Love Love Love it :-)   

So, I took the lovely soft colours ... the patterned wallpaper became a patterned background, I added some accents of black and just a hint of gold ... some lace and doilys and flowers ... and came up with this:

Butterfly punch ... a Christmas pressie :-) :-)  ... yum yum ...

And, since I was on a roll, I scrapped some more of these gorgeous Christmas photos ... just can't reveal them yet :-) soon!!

SUYS sketch

I am having a scrappy day today!!  YAY!  I saw the sketch up at Show Us Your Stuff and started playing straight away ... 

A boy and his rug:

 When he was newborn, we introduced these muslin 'rugs' and they quickly became his comfort ... along with the thumb!  Basically, he can't have one without the other.  It's a bit cute :-)

Talking about cute ... so are these lollipops ... made by the lovely Leanne ... :-) ... don't they just look good enough to eat!!

That doily is handmade too, but unfortunatly I can't remember where I got it from.
