Our beach holiday

The weather turned bad and the kids got sick.  But hey, we still got some precious family memories :-)

I played along with the Savvy Stashbusters CC - this was for Sara's challenge - to use more than 25 items on you page.  Everything is counted - every letter sticker and piece of paper etc :-) easy for me, I keep adding stuff at the best of times!

A cuuuttttteee little tree/branch thingy from Leanne (thanks Leanne) :-)

And I whipped up some tags for San's challenge - which was to make tags with left over scraps.  I have heaps of scraps LOL!

A few updates ...

Our Bird is the Word design team currently creates two projects per month using the two challenge words. These words will be provided to you ahead of time - before they are released on the Bird is the Word blog.

Some of you may have already noticed that our deadline for the challenge word Imagine was extended out to four weeks.  This is different from previous challenges which had a two week deadline.  Now, a new challenge word will be announced every two weeks, but you will have four weeks to complete the challenge.  We got the feeling that two weeks might not be long enough.  It seems that wherever we are in the world, life is hectic and I know the last thing we need is another looming deadline!!  So, we hope this works for everyone!!  Keep submitting your creations!!  Some beautiful entries have been submitted so far!!

My little boy just loves shoes!  It's so funny watching him try to walk in boots as big as these!!

I love making boy pages out of girly ranges and vice versa, so this is my boy page for the MME Good Day Sunshine Girl range ... (from Handmade by Suzanne)

Loved this boat die cut and knew I had to use it on a beachy page :-)

Queen&co felt trim - love it!!  And Prima pom pom trim ... one of my fav's :-)

And this kite - well  - isn't it just gorgeous!!  One of the embellies I was saving up to use on the 'perfect' page :-) I got if from HERE :-)

Perfectly perfect

On one perfectly perfect day ... we had a photoshoot with LaBelle Photographics ... Miss B was being a tad ... interesting ... but, in this photo, you would never know it ;-)

Thus, one perfectly perfect moment was captured :-)



I used the MME sketch for this page as I used more of my sweet MME Good Day Sunshine - Girl range from Handmade By Suzanne.  Love the pinks - just perfect teamed with some lace and doilies :-)

I just loved this scooter paper from the My Mind's Eye Good Day Sunshine - Girl range!  (From my HBS DT kit)  This pic is quite old (it's a LaBelle Photographic pic) ... back when Miss B was about 18months old.  (So cute!!  LOL) But, I hunted it down as I thought it matched the paper perfectly!!

See... how cute is this scooter!!! :-)

Ribbon and Pink Paislee alphas are also from the store ... oh and that sweet pom pom trim in the top right hand corner of my layout :-)

I have the gorgeous My Mind's Eye Good Day Sunshine - Girl range to play with this month.  The colours are soft and pretty and are perfect for a whole range of pics.  You'll see here, I've scrapped some beach pics.  The ribbon, Kaisercraft bling flourish, pom pom trim, glimmermist, kraft cardstock and Queen&co felt border are all from the store too.  And Suzanne now has twine!!  Heaps of colours :-)

That cloud punch I borrowed (thanks Kim!!) is also available in store ...  I love it!!!

Creative scrappers

My lovely scrappy friend Kim is on the Creative Scrappers DT ... and she has inspired me to do a couple of Creative Scrappers sketches this month :-) ... so here is sketch #146

She also gave me an extra criteria of the twine circle and Leanne added a mixed alpha title to my mini challenge :-) ... so this is what I came up with:
