Out of the Hat

I'm in a bit of a creative slump at the moment.  But, last week or so, I did play along with the Out of the Hat challenge this month which was to include:

- a tree

- clouds

- masking/misting



Thought I'd try a different size page for a change - maybe that will improve things??  LOL

I love ...

This is my take on the Feb #1 challenge over at SUYS ...

Theme challenge:

Do a layout, card or OTP based on love. It can be any type of love. You must include a handmade heart on there.

I cut a heart shape out of die cut pp ... and there's a heart shaped out of the baker's twine too :-).  I have used more of my Echo Park Little Girl range ...

I Love you and you and you:

 A cute chippy birdcage ... with a heart banner ...

 And handmade little doily ...

 And I made a heart banner .... lots of hearts on this page :-)

Bird is the Word - PASSION

The word for February 13th over at BIRD IS THE WORD IS:

Just perfect for a Valentines Day or love theme or whatever passion means to you.


All you have to do is create a project incorporating this word in your theme or title. That's all!

I decided to focus on Miss B's 'passion' for playdoh - she loves it!  For Christmas, she got a play doh cake making station and has been making playdoh cakes ever since ... LOL :-)

Mini Mummy

Ever since she was barely more than a baby herself, Miss B has been facinated by babies and just LOVES 'looking after' them :-).  When I received this Echo Park collection from HBS, I knew I had to use these photos on one of the pages!!!

Mini Mummy:

 Found a little peg for the clothes line :-) and some mini doilies ...

 Misted a white Prima flower ...

 Added some droplets to the heart banner ...

Still loving this line so much :-) :-)

Back to the schoolhouse

While waiting for this month's DT kit to arrive from HBS, I decided to pull out my January kit - October Afternoon Schoolhouse range -  and see if I could create some more pages with the left overs.  I sure could .... and so I did :-)

Miss B plays in the filing cabinet sometimes, and likes to pretend she is a really busy office lady.  LOL

Little Girl {and don't forget my RAK!!!}

I think ... I really really think, that Echo Park Little Girl range was made especially for me :-) {they actually do have a pp called "Chloe Crowns" !!!!!  See, told you!!! LOL}.

Suzanne (from HBS) was lovely enough to send me this GORGEOUS collection in my DT kit this month ... I was SO EXCITED and waited anxiously for it!  It arrived yesterday and I must say, it's even MORE delightful in real life!!!! :-) :-) ;-) 

I got straight to work on the sketch for this month:

The alpas are soooooo cute :-) :-) all different colours .... so pretty :-)

Peek a boo

Another WW1 challenge completed and I'm really happy with the way this one turned out too.  I think I "need" these challenges to get my brain working!  I wasn't even tempted to add another colour this time ... amazing!  LOL

 So, the colour was brown with vintage items ...
my vintage items are bookpaper, music paper, lace and a button.

Oh, and the gorgeous pics of the little Mister are by LaBelle Photographics :-)

PS.  What do people think of having the extra large photos?  I'm not sure what to think ... I have to scroll down to see the page - I can't see it all on the screen at once if you know what I mean.  But, I do like seeing more detail etc.  I'm interested to see what other people think :-)
