Our kids just love their cousins and wish we got to see them more often!
I've used this sketch from Mad About Scrappin
to create this page of my daughter and her cute little cousin:
Loving using Liquid Pearls on chipboard lately ... just apply it and then smear it with my fingers ... sometimes I even gesso first! LOL

Blog Hop with a Difference ...
Hello everyone! I've been tagged by the lovely Fiona to join in this blog hop with a difference. The 'difference' being that it's not associated with a store or challenge site, or not run by anyone in particular. Instead, it's all about sharing our creative processes, perhaps inspiring others and then, introducing some more wonderful creative people along the way!
I first "met" Fiona on an online scrapping forum (which is sadly no longer) and was instantly drawn to her modern scrapping style. She uses brights and clean lines similar to my style. She is on a number of Design Teams and Creative Teams. See her gorgeous work here on her blog: Pieces Of Me. Thank you for tagging me, Fiona! I am honoured!
Now, moving onto the questions and answers part of the blog hop!
1. What am I working on right now?
At the moment, I am busily creating for my next Rainbow Splendour sale. I'm hoping to have one next month, so I'd better get some product made up! Here's a little sneak:
2. How long does it take to create a project?
It varies. I'm lucky to have a scrap space in the main area of our house. I often have a page "on the go" sitting on my scrap table and I add bits and pieces throughout the day, doing all the boring housework-y stuff in between. However, if I have a deadline, I can whip up a page in an hour or less. My style isn't busy with heaps of background work (mostly) so I can create quickly if I have to. Sometimes, pages just fall together quickly all by themselves! That's always a good thing!
This page I created in a short time from recently for the D-lish Birthday Bonanza:
and yet, this next one took ages! (also created for the D-lish Birthday Bonanza) I fiddled and fiddled, added and took away ... until I'm still not sure I'm happy with it!
3. What are my favourite things to create with at the moment?
Oh yes, I do have a couple of favourites! Things you will see on just about every page I do is flowers ...
Created for FWAB.
I am a BIG embellishment fan so I always need heaps! I love washi tape, flairs, Flourish With A Bling, sequins, doilies, wood veneer - just to name a few.
I either start with the photo or the papers first. I often like to use the same range on a page because I know that it will all match and often, ranges come with matching stickers/alphas as well, so it makes it super easy. I then set up the page, experimenting with elements in different positions until I am 100% happy ... and THEN I glue it all down.
Well, I don't know about 'staying inspired'... just recently, I was at a creative low ... however, I always (so far) seem to bounce back and find the missing mojo again. I am inspired by photos - often getting a pile of new photos printed is enough to kickstart the mojo again! I love to scrap pics of my kids, and they love seeing the pages of themselves!
Creatively, I am often inspired by various challenges around in the scrappy world, and of course Pinterest, which is wonderful for inspiration!
6. What is my signature style?
I am the same as many others - how do I describe my style? I used to say it was "clean and simple" until someone pointed out it wasn't really "simple". So, now I describe it as "mostly clean with clusters".
This is typically my style of page:
I haven't done lots of background work in the past, but I am currently loving to add some masking, mists, gesso/texture past and even some stamping! I know! Who would have guessed!!
Maybe it's not really "me", but it is sure lots of fun to break out the mixed media once in a while!
So, that's me in a nutshell.
**************
I am passing the blog hop baton to the following creative people:
Charmane Koch (Charm): http://ourbrightstarsandus.typepad.com/charmscreations/
Charm is a fellow "handmade buddy" who creates amazing products in different colours, fabrics and felts, lace and buttons and sells them online in her store http://charmscreations.bigcartel.com/. She is also an amazing scrapper and I am always in awe of the detail and designs of her creations. Her style is fun and funky with lots to look at!
Renee Iveson: http://nayandgilly.blogspot.com.au/
Renee is one of the first online scrappers I met in real life, and she is soooo lovely! She is a past Scrapbooking Memories Master (she even used some Rainbow Splendour goodies on a Master page!!!) and I just love her scrapping style. She adds lots of fun elements and isn't afraid to step out of the box!
Hop over and follow Charm's and Renee's blog now so you can read all about their creative process next week!
Thanks for visiting here today, have a great week :)

Scrapping-wise, I'm working on some DT projects for next month ... this one will be for Flourish With A Bling.

The last D-lish challenge!
Ok, so I did them all a bit out of order .. but, I've finally finished the last challenge!! It was this one:
I often find recipes a bit challenging ... maybe I feel a little restricted ... I don't know ... but, once I decided ... right let's do this ... it did fall together pretty quickly!
D-lish products: the grey heart flair and the star wood veneers.
Double checked and triple checked criteria! I think it's all pretty obvious, except maybe for the 2 stamps ... I've used background stamps - one a square pattern in black ink and the other a script pattern in silver ink .... you can see it better in the close up:
So happy I got all 8 challenges completed - all with D-lish products added! I wonder if this means my mojo is back?? Dare I get excited?? :) :)

So cute ...
The 8th challenge for the D-lish Birthday Bonanza is a technique challenge ...
So, I thought I would give it a go!!
It's actually quite a fun effect - I must try this again :) ...
You'll spy my D-lish products : the star flair and the blue Journal-it.
Only one challenge left ... I wonder if I can squeeze it in today??
Thanks for visiting!

stars (on the D-lish flair)
altered embellie (plastic flag pin altered with glitter mod podge and glitter

Colour!
The fourth challenge at the D-lish Birthday Bonanza is a stunning colourful mood board. Right up my alley!! :D ...
I loved the balloons in a rainbow-y row, so positioned my flowers in a similar row:
I even did a spot of weaving! Been a while since I tried that technique :D ... I cut strips of paper and stuck washi tape over the top :)
Love these sequin bows from D-lish!! (MUST get some more!!!)
4 more challenges to go :) :) :)

I've used another D-lish Journal-It on my page ... can't wait to get my D-lish order so I have more goodies to play with :D

No more photos ...
Mr 4 loves getting his photo taken ... if it's on his terms. If he's in the middle of playing seriously or something interesting is happening around the place, photos just aren't a priority! This was the case recently.
I've used the super fun sketch at the D-lish Birthday Bonanza ...
And I've used another D-lish Journal-Its.
Thanks for visiting! I am totally loving these D-lish challenges! Only 6 more to go :)

A scraplift!
It's been a bit quiet here on the scrapping front. But, luckily (for me), D-Lish Scraps is having a birthday (Happy 5th Birthday, D-Lish!!!) ... with lots of challenges to spark the mojo. The first challenge was a scraplift:
I followed the page pretty closely - even down to similar colours and papers! It was a challenge to NOT add too many embellies (and not even a flower in sight!!)
I used some D-Lish Journal-it's on my page :)
