I made this card for the colour challenge over at Design Dollies which was ORANGE, BROWN and a NEUTRAL (I used cream). I thought it might make a good boy card.

I really want to try their recipe challenge now! I hope I find some time for it today :-)

A couple of cards

I whipped up a couple of cards this morning while the kids were happy. I think they are on the mend now so hopefully things will be back to normal before too long!

First day!!! My big girl is a kindy girl now :-) she just loves it too!! She was so excited posing for these photos. I wanted to make this page bright and happy with lots of fun elements so came up with this:

{ I do apologise for the dodgy photo - colours are MUCH better IRL.}

I made this for the Out Of The Hat challenge which had fun criteria this month:

Buttons and bows

A butterfly somewhere

I don't know if you can tell by the pic or not, but I randomly punched around the edges with my border punch and threaded mouse-tail ribbon through some of the holes and tied bows. I really like the effect and think I'll try it again.

Have a great week everyone! I don't know that I'll get much scrapping done this week.... I have 2 sick little kids :-( .... but, fingers crossed, they will improve real soon!!!

My favourite flower is the oriental lily and I was inspired by the gorgeous pink/white colour combo and the special memory they have for me: they were my wedding flowers (hence the LOVE themed card)

Got wheels ... will travel

I have had a map book given to me and I have been wanting to do a LO with map paper for ages .... finally found inspiration in Emma's 54321 challenge over at Savvy!

Criteria:

5 triangles

4 letter title - "Ride"

3 pp's

2 journal spots

1 flower

Thought the map paper fitted with the "travel" theme of the LO :-).LOL. Lots of scrapping happening here .... will share as soon as possible ;-)

Inspired by a rainbow...

I found a fantastic challenge site called Dotty Divas - they have 2 challenges every month and I made this card for challenge #7:I was inspired by the rainbow, the little bird and the sparkle that was in the ad.

Feb challenge at SOU

New month, new challenges over at Scraps of Us!! This month, I have gone a little overboard ... and set a challenge to create a card using a technique and a colour:
* Technique: SCALLOPS
* Colour: GREEN (small amounts of other colour/s allowed)
You don't have to go quite so overboard on the green OR the scallops. LOL. Happy creating!! :-)
