Farewell Scrappingclearly

Hello there Scrappingclearly fans.  This post is rather sad - it's my very last post as I am finishing up my DT position at the end of this month.  It's been a wonderful 2+ years and I thank Kylie and the team so much for their faith in me.  I have enjoyed my time here, designing with some fabulous ranges, trying new things and making new friends.

For my very last post, I've decided to share my favourite pages/creations from the last 2 {and a bit} years.  There might be a few, so make that cuppa and enjoy!

{I really loved this range - Simple Stories Summer Vibes}

Getting my Mixed Media on!
Products used:

I have used the Heidi Swapp Believe 6x6 paper pad ... and lots of the ephemera pack for this page.

I have used the perfectly glittery All That Glitters range by Kaiser Craft for this page
Simple but effective!

I just LOVED creating this super cute acrylic album!  I went all beachy and used the Simple Stories  Summer Vibes range.  See the entire album HERE.

There was a time when I shared quite a few pages of my planner!  Just loved this project!  See THIS POST for more!

Awww ... this page was created with the lovely Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Bloom collection.

I even scrapped a pic of myself!

I've made many cards over my time here, too!  Here's a couple ...

These colours are my favourite :)

For this page, I used the Something Wonderful 6 x 6 Designer Pad for the background papers -
I've wanted to do this design for a while using 6 x 6 papers (no cutting to size ;) )...  and this was the perfect opportunity!

So there you have it - a quick journey through my 2 {and a bit} years here at Scrappingclearly.  What a journey it has been!  I will miss it so much, but life takes us in different directions, and it's time for me to take a step back now.  I know that the rest of the team will continue to inspire you and I will enjoy seeing their projects in the days to come.

For the last time, happy scrapping, and take care.
Much love,

Merry Christmas

Hello there crafters :)
I hope you are finding some time to craft in this busy month?  Don't forget our fabulous December Challenges!
Today I am sharing my last lot of Christmas cards using my SC stash ....

I used some more papers from the 6 x 6 Heidi Swapp Believe paper pad - these are just PERFECT for cards - there are so many different looks you can get from the same paper pad!  Adding some of the gorgeous Heidi Swapp Believe Ephemera makes things super easy for coordinating embellishments :)

Super simple cards - I love how effective just a simple strip of washi tape, a glitter cardstock. die cut and a word from the Heidi Swapp Believe Ephemera can be.

This last card was created using some journal cards from My Mind’s Eye – On Trend 2 Collection – Journal Cards.
Using journal cards is one of my favourite things to do on cards - it makes creating easy!

This is my last Christmas card post - I hope you have enjoyed them as I loved making them!  See my other posts HERE and HERE.

Do you make Christmas cards?
Do you use non-Christmas ranges?
I'd love to see some!

Christmas cards :)

You might have seen my last blog post about searching my stash for leftovers to make Christmas cards.  Here are some more creations from my mammoth card making session .. a session that, admittedly, lasted quite a few days ;)

I still had some sheets of paper from the 6 x 6 Heidi Swapp Believe paper pad - these are just PERFECT for cards - there are so many different looks you can get from the same paper pad!

Adding some of the gorgeous Heidi Swapp Believe Ephemera makes things super easy for coordinating embellishments :)

I've also used some of the gorgeous banners from the Believe Banner Delights pack.  I really like this black/white/red colour palette for Christmas cards!  What do you think?

Stash busting Christmas cards

Hello there Scrappers!

If you are anything like me, you have a rather large stash of older products, of collections that are mostly used but there's still bits and pieces left - and you can't throw anything away - ever!  Because you never know when it will come in handy!

So, I decided to make some Christmas cards with what I have on hand.  Preferably not Christmas ranges - there's nothing like challenge, right?!

First up, I saw my sheet of Pebbles – DIY Home Collection – Washi Tape Paper ... this was perfect for a washi background!

THIS PAPER from the Pebbles DIY Home collection even featured a deer head that I cut out with a paper punch :)

For my second card, I used some journal cards from My Mind’s Eye – On Trend 2 Collection – Journal Cards.  Using journal cards is one of my favourite things to do on cards - it makes creating easy!

I added some Heidi Shine on the background for some shimmer :)

Do you make Christmas cards?  Do you use non-Christmas ranges?

Happy creating :)

Nov sketch at SC

😊 Hello there Scrappers!

I hope you are all enjoying the challenges at Scrapping Clearly this month - and maybe you found time to play along with our Birthday challenges too?

Here is the November sketch:

I was instantly inspired by the sunburst background and knew I had the perfect The Crafter's Workshop stencil which I used with some mist ...

You'll notice I did mirror the sketch to suit my photo, plus I added a few more layers here and there for added interest.  I've loved playing with the Cocoa Vanilla You Rock collection - it's perfect for pets, too!

I've added some sparkle with the Heidi Swapp Glitter Stickers Navy – Epic ... I just love these!  Lots of layers with the chipboard and veneer, along with the paper ephemera ...

Fabulous!

Hello there!
Have you seen this month's mood board over at Scrapping clearly yet? It's quite dramatic!

Such a vibrant board, isn't it!

I was inspired by the colours, and the grid design...

I used the Something Wonderful 6 x 6 Designer Pad for the background papers -
I've wanted to do this design for a while...  and this was the perfect opportunity!

I just love that street map washi tape - so versatile and fun :)

That gold word thicker is so hard to photograph - but so awesome to use!

I remembered that awesome CVS paper in the YOU ROCK collection ...

October FWAB shares!

My page titled “Hello” was created for a mixed media challenge. Now, I’m not a regular mixed media scrapper, but it’s fun to get a bit “messy” every now and again, right? I do admit to being quite conservative, using stamps, masks, gesso, paint and mists in small amounts.

I chose to use the FWAB JESSIE FLOURISH in black – it adds some texture to my messy-ish background – it almost looks like dribbled paint like that, don’t you think?
My next project “Nice List”, I’ve gone all non-traditional Christmas again.  This time, I have gone with a pretty pastel colour combo.
The FWAB JASMINE PUFFY FLOURISH in Lilac was the perfect colour choice – as you can see I cut it up to suit my cluster.  You will also see some gorgeous FWAB flowers featured – a Maddison flower in Teal, and a small Maddison flower in lilac.  I just LOVE this colour combo!
My next layout “Stay till the sun sets” is for the October Scrapbooking Top 50 Mood board challenge.  I love this sunset pic, taken while we were at the beach last year.  We went back to the same beach this year, and this time I braved an early start for some sunrise photos!  (which will probably appear on a page soon enough ;) )
So, on this page, I used a small FWAB MADDISON flower in orange for a pop of colour and the FWAB JACK VINE in black which was the perfect touch of whimsy (again, cut to fit around my cluster – I’m so glad these are easy to cut!!).

These vines are just my FAVE!!  I love that they come in THREE different shades of green, plus black!  A staple in my stash, that’s for sure.
Don’t forget the amazing 50% off October sale!!  It’s the perfect time for early Christmas shopping!! Just click HERE

FWAB shares for July

Hi there everyone!

I'm sharing some pages using FWAB products today ...

First up is ...

In my page titled “Miss B”, I’ve gone all flowery and pretty :).

The FWAB Jack Vine in Green was perfect to add to my cluster – I love the bright vibrant green it adds, too!  I cut it all up, adding leaves here and there, all around.  (They work really well with my paper leaves.)  I’m such a fan of cutting up vines and flourishes!

You’ll see I’ve added some FWAB flowers too – these are my favourite flowers – so many colours and different styles and sizes make clustering a breeze.  I’ve used 2 FWAB flowers on this page:  Elise flower in cream and a Maddison flower in yellow.

Spot the Goanna was created for the July challenge at Show Us Your Stuff.
The July challenge is all about nature – so I used a photo of a massive goanna we found on the farm – it always amazes me how big these animals grow!

The nature theme was perfect to add a FWAB Lee’s Tree!  How cool does it look in my cluster!
I have also used a FWAB Elise Flourish in Antique Brown, cut up and added to my cluster also.

Then, you’ll see some FWAB Black Adhesive Pearls scattered around the page.

I kept my FWAB products to earthy, natural colours and they all match perfectly to the theme of my page :)
*
XOXO is a Christmas page using non-traditional colours – I’m a bit of a fan of non-traditional :).

I’ve added lots of FWAB Adhesive Pearls in Teal all over my page – lots in groups of 3 for visual appeal, and some on top of other embellishments.

Then, if you look carefully, I’ve tucked some FWAB Nicky’s Beach Huts under my layers!  It’s fun to think outside the box with FWAB products, they don’t always have to be used for a set theme :).

These red beach huts were a perfect match for my colour scheme, and they look a bit like cool arrows when they are just peeking out of the layers.

Have a great week, everyone!

July SC sketch

Hello and welcome to July!  We have officially started the last half of the year - isn't it just flying by :/ ... anyway, a new month means new challenges!!

Check out this month's fab sketch at Scrapping Clearly:

This one was really easy to work with ...

I have used the awesome YOU ROCK range by Cocoa Vanilla Studios again - it's such a fun versatile range!  The colours are great for boy pages!

I only added the gold ink just before I glued everything down - I thought it needed so extra texture - this was perfect :) ... I just applied it randomly with a scraper ...

Hope you can play along with this sketch!!
