The circus!

I just love FWAB flowers - so imagine my excitement when I received the NEW colours and sizes!!!  LOVE LOVE LOVE them all!!!

New colours include TEAL, YELLOW, RED, LATTE, ORANGE,
GOLD, GREEN and HOT PINK!!  Don't they all sound so delicious!!!???
AND ... there are new sizes in the Maddison flowers - mini Maddisons!  They are just the perfect size to add to a cluster :)
Anyway, here's the first page I've created using the new flowers:
The circus came to town last school holidays ... I kept the circus flyer and the tickets we purchased to use on a layout ... it's fun to use memorabilia :) :).  I was disappointed I couldn't get a photo of the kids in front of the big top, but it was storming and we all had to make a mad dash!  So, even tho I'm a little short of pics, I still wanted to scrap about the event :)

I have used a FWAB Maddison Flower - Red, FWAB Elise Flowers in Pale Blue and White,
and a FWAB Jasmine Laser Flourish Red ...
The flourish is embossed using my tutorial steps from last month. Love the effect!

Don't forget: HUGE $2 FLOWER SALE for the month of OCTOBER! come and check out the beautiful new colour range and various sizes we have in stock! SHOP HERE!!

I'll be back tomorrow to share my next page :)
Happy scrapping until then!

D-lish Oct mood board

Have you seen the latest mood board at D-lish??  It's GORGEOUS!!

I LOVE bright colours ... and the smidge of black makes them all pop!!
So, as well as using the colours, I was inspired by the spots, the word "fabulous", flowers and circles ...
and I followed the sketch ...

A bit of reverse masking (stamping with the mask) on the background .. I really love this effect - more than actual masking!  The photo is a awesome painting we saw at the local show - it was on the back of a truck.

ALL the embellies are D-lish - yep, all of them!

SHOP HERE for all the D-lish amazing goodies!!

AND ... don't forget to play along so you can WIN your own D-lish prize!

Just a quick post from me today! I'm back with another card {I love making cards, have I said that before?? LOL}
I had these strips of paper left over from another FWAB project I created - I know, I don't throw much away!!  (You should see my creative mess ... I mean DESK!) ... anyway, these leftover strips from the sunburst look fab on a card too!

I have used a FWAB Jasmine Puffy Flourish Latte, cut up as usual ...
And some gorgeous FWAB flowers ... a FWAB Maddison - pink and FWAB Elise - cream.

That's all for now, thanks for visiting and have a great weekend :)

Embossing FWAB flourishes

Here's my recent FWAB tutorial:

I really love my FWAB flourishes.  I would add them to every single page if I could!  I'm always on the lookout for different things I can do with them and recently, I decided to try embossing them.
I have lots of different embossing folders for my Big Shot ... like these ...p7258644
And while I didn't get progress photos for this, it's all pretty easy.
Step one:  Choose a "flat" FWAB flourish (like Jasmine, Luke, Jessie - not the pearl ones - you could even try some of the FWAB Outdoor range!)
Step Two:  Remove from packaging but NOT from the backing sheet.
Step Three:  Place in embossing folder and run through your machine.
Step Four:  Remove flourish from backing sheet and place on your project!
Easy as that!
I've used a FWAB Luke Flourish in Teal and a FWAB Jasmine Laser Flourish Gold on the above page, embossing them in a swirl pattern (Luke Flourish) and a script pattern (Jasmine flourish).
IMG_5804aLove the texture it gives!  And it made the flourishes curl up a bit - which I really liked - so I emphasised the effect and helped it stay there with tiny bits of foam tape.
You'll spy a FWAB Maddison Flowers - Chocolate there too!!
So, there you go, a nice easy tutorial to add some extra WOW factor to your FWAB flourishes!  Hope you can give it a go!
