October Savvy CC

Hello everyone!!  This is my favourite time of each month - the Savvy CC!!!!!!  There's always lots of awesome inspiration and the best part - Savvy $$ up for grabs!!!

I have an easy challenge for you this month - a word challenge:
Use the word FUN on your page somewhere, either in your title or journaling.

Birthday Time

Hello everyone!  Well, we have lots of birthdays around this time of year and last month we had a combined party for our kids.  Miss 7 had a RAINBOW themed party and I had lots of fun making a few different party things for her - and of course, adding some rainbow coloured FWAB!  Here she is with my FWAB creations:

First up was the party hat.  This was my first time making one from scratch and I was quite surprised how EASY it was!!
I found a party hat template like this one (there are HEAPS if you google them!), printed it out and traced around it onto some bright rainbow coloured paper ...

It was easy to make up, I didn't even have to glue it!

Then ... time to decorate!

I used nearly every colour in my stash of Adhesive Pearls 100 packs  on here... they were just perfect for layering over the "7" thicker and for around the circle.

I also made a "7" badge for her to wear proudly on the day:

Again, I used my stash of Adhesive Pearls 100 packs to make the "7" thicker nice and colourful.

Talking about BIRTHDAYS, we are excited to have TWO new additions in our extended family over the coming months!!  Even though I won't know ahead of time whether they will be boys or girls, I still thought I would make up some cards in preparation of our new arrivals.  Such an exciting time!!

This boy one is using the Jasmine puffy flourish in Latte  and a gorgeous cream Elise flower.

And a girl card:

On this one I've used off-cuts from FWAB Chloe Pearl Flourish Pink and a FWAB Elise Flowers 4pk - Burnt Orange.

Scrap the Girls

Hi again!  I'm back to share another challenge page :)

The Scrap The Girls challenge this month was a puzzle challenge with these pieces:

 Hexagon
Squiggle
Circle
Rectangle
Strips

I used my September She's Savvy kit again ... no embellies left now, so I used bits and pieces from my stash:

 Circles are in the masked background and the button ...

Strips are under the photo
Hexagons:  masked in the top left hand corner

Squiggle is the twirled twine ...

You'll see a Rainbow Splendour bow there too!!  :) :)

October 123

Hello everyone! 

I'm here to share a page I created for the 123 challenge this month.  I'm getting right back into some challenges as you can see ... it feels great too :)

My big girl meeting her new baby cousin for the first time :) ... she loves him sooooo much!!!

I used my She's Savvy kit for this page - I remembered there was that yellow paper and just knew I wanted to use it for this challenge!!  All I've added is a flower from my stash and another alpha to make 3 different alphas.

White With 1

Hello everyone!  Now, you might remember me playing along with WW1 last month ... and yep - I'm still colour challenged!!  But, with some scrappy friends twisting my arm, I played along this month too :D ...
So, this month's challenge at White With 1 is:

Watermelon!  Perfect for spring don't you think?

Off I went on a watermelon hunt ... through the cupboard and boxes ... and I managed to find some that {perhaps} were a little not quite ripe {LOL} .. hmmm ... what do you think? 

It was fun anyway, which is the main thing :D

Beach Girl

Hello everyone!  Have you checked out our new FWAB flowers yet??  I have another page to share using both the Maddison flowers and one Elise flower :).


I really wanted to focus of the page on the gorgeous flowers this time.  I've used a White and Chocolate Maddison flower and a Elise burnt orange flower.


And I've also used a FWAB Jasmine Laser Flourish in Teal (love the colour pop!).

We can't wait to see some pages in the FWAB gallery using our new flowers!

You're Savvy kit

Hi everyone!  It's been so exciting behind the scenes at Savvy, organising these fabulous kits for you!!  And they are already getting such a good response which is GREAT!

Anyway, along with the kit reveals last night, we promised some extra challenges to get the mojo going ... so here's mine.  I've created a sketch for you all ...

and I've been playing with the new October "You're Savvy kit" to create this page:

The kit is a little but summery, but as you can see, you can still create non-summery pages! :)

September We're Savvy

Hi everyone!  I'm back again to share some pages created with the September We're Savvy kit.  I really really love the colours in the kit and was amazed how easy it was to match photos to!  I LOVE that it includes a whole roll of washi tape and a bottle of Zazz glitter glue - 2 things that I will keep using long after the papers and other embellies are all used!

Anyway, here's my first page:
Party time

The base pp is actually one piece - 2 different sides!  I just cut it in half on the diagonal and turned one piece over ... and stuck it together with the washi tape :)

You'll see the Zazz glitter glue on the chippy banner shapes!  and that gorgeous black flower is handmade by Burdy's Handmade Embellies.

Plane cake

Just love that chevron pp!!

and I couldn't resist putting the Zazz on the chippy banners again!  This time, they look a little more like leaves.

She's Savvy September kit

Hi everyone!  I'm here to share some pages I created from the gorgeous She's Savvy kit.  Here's the kit:
Doesn't it look amazing?
It's based on MME Cut & Paste Adorbs papers and also has Amy Tangerine Sketchbook papers and  Little Yellow Bicycle Elizabeth Park paper.  It features a full pack of FWAB flowers, a tube of Zazz glitter glue (I love this stuff!!!), Rainbow Splendour handmade bows and assorted other embellies and alphas.  In short, LOTS to play with!!!
Here's my first page:
Sleep over

Love the pretty colours on black - really makes them POP.

As I said before, I just LOVE the Zazz glitter glue!  It has a fine applicator tip so I used it to doodle some hearts on the black background ... I really love the effect :)
My second page:
Bed time story

My DD had her little best friend over for a sleep over and - luckily - they both LOVE reading.  So, here they are before lights out, reading books in bed :) :)
I've only added some washi tape (from the store HERE) and a little pink Prima butterfly (from the store HERE), otherwise it's all kit contents.  Love the colours!

I dont' know if you can tell in the pic, but I've outlined some of the butterflies in the border pp with the Zazz glitter.  It's such fun!! :D
I still have lots more to make more pages!  I've had the We're Savvy kit to play with too, so will share some pages from it very soon :) :).

Mood Board Monday | Hexagonal

These Mondays are flying by!  It's time for another Mood Board Monday!

This week the theme is HEXAGONAL ... this shape is so "in" right now!

Here's my board:

1.  There's lots of hexagonal cakes to be found ... but certainly not many with the hexagons on the side like this Hexagonal cake by Three Little Blackbirds !

3.  Natural flour sack tea towel hexagon print modern geometric peacock blue by Etsy store LEFTright ... looks awesome.

4.  Not so fond of the orange, but I love the design of this Hexagon Doona Cover set by Target.

5.  Bright and colourful DIY Hexagonal Table Runner by Whimsey Box

6.  Crochet Hexagon Pillows by Etsy store SOIL by Studio Soil - love this colour combo.
